A subscription to the AWSS newsletter Women: East-West, which reports on research, presents issues related to women and gender in Central/Eastern Europe, includes a running bibliography of publications in the field, and is a forum for the concerns of members.
Graduate students are eligible for additional benefits of AWSS membership. First, the graduate student rate is $15/year instead of $40. In addition, graduate students who wish to participate in our biennial conference are eligible to receive funding for conference registration and lodging at the hotel. Finally, graduate students are encouraged to take part in our mentoring program, which pairs up graduate students with AWSS members whose research interests, fields, experiences, and goals align.
For $400 you can become a lifetime member. You’ll automatically have access to all our resources, awards, prizes, conferences, and programs and never have to worry about your membership status again!
If you want to keep research and travel funding opportunities available for scholars in our field, consider giving to our capital campaign.
AWSS is a tax-exempt organization as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to AWSS are fully tax-deductible and help fund our travel grants and other activities in support of scholars. In addition to paying your dues, you may also make a donation.
If you prefer, you may still send in your membership dues through the mail. Please contact our acting treasurer, Anika Walke for a form and more information.
